Mother's Day Collection
This year, our Mother's Day Collection was inspired by a beautiful little girl named Marguerite, the niece and cousin of sweet friends here in Louisville. (And - by extension - getting to know Marguerite's mom and family in Louisiana has been a joy.) Though Marguerite was diagnosed with a brain tumor (DIPG) as a kindergartener and passed away just over a year ago at age 7, she brought so many people together in hope, love, courage and kindness, and her shining spirit continues to be a light - even for those who never had the joy of meeting her.The name Marguerite means "daisy," fitting since the flower is a cheerful reminder of the beauty that surrounds us and the hope that returns again and again each spring even after the cold of winter. As funding for research and trials are cut, and since May 17th is DIPG Awareness Day, bringing focus to childhood brain cancer, we thought it fitting to honor Marguerite and her loving family with a collection of three different small-batch daisy designs, each offering a portion of proceeds ($20 of each purchase price) to an organization called Tough2gether, founded by a mother who lost her own son to DIPG. With each daisy design, it's lovely to think of Marguerite's legacy and to contribute to helping families facing childhood cancer, offering hope, support, science-backed research, and resources along the way.

Love is in the Air!
We've always said that our jewelry is made with love, and our Valentine Collection this year takes this idea to heart. (See what we did there?) Crafted in small batches (and some as one-of-a-kind designs) each item in the collection will contribute $5 of its purchase price to a wonderful organization called Love My Neighbor, based in our former hometown of Taylorsville, Kentucky. This grass-roots thrift shop offers clothing and household items to families in need, often entirely free of charge...and volunteers will even personally assist in finding clothing for a first job interview, a new baby, or a warm coat in freezing temperatures.
Grace, one of our amazing assistants who helps to create nearly every statement-making necklace that leaves the studio, has one of the most generous and beautiful hearts we know, and she is a founding Board Member for Love My Neighbor. Her spirit for service has her volunteering several days a week, whether balancing the books or organizing donations in their storage space at the shop. (In fact, our donations will help build an annex for the space to house the growing amount of donated goods available for underprivileged families in the area.)
We're honored to be able to help Love My Neighbor's mission in making a difference in the community where Elva Fields really "grew up" as a business and to share the love that is available to all of us. So, whether it's through a pair of earrings, a necklace, or even some hand-lettered original art, we hope you'll help us to offer beauty, hope, and, most importantly, love, this Valentine season and always.
XOXO

Here's to Hope
We've created a collection of jewelry that takes inspiration from the hope, love, and courage so many who face cancer show and share. Through the month of October, half of the proceeds from each of these designs will be given to Hope Scarves, a remarkable organization here in Louisville, Kentucky that provides scarves, stories, and support to those with cancer. We’re honored to contribute to such an important and wonderful mission, and it is our sincerest wish that in wearing one of these collection jewels, the message of hope will find its way to those who may need it most.
With hope and love,
All of us at Elva Fields

Because We Are All Connected
We're all connected, one to another as humans in this life experience. Our love knot earrings symbolize our in-this-together-ness and will offer half of their retail price to help others in need, specifically young children separated from their families at the border. Through Together Rising, every $10 we donate will help reunite these families thanks to the tireless work of organizations like the Florence Project and KIND who navigate the legal system on behalf of immigrant children.
Based on a vintage design and being produced in small batches for us, we'll have a limited edition collection of 50 of each style (sterling silver over brass or 14 karat gold over brass) available to ship in mid-August. If we sell all of these earrings, we'll be able to make a contribution of $1000 toward making a difference in devastating circumstances, and these earrings may perhaps be a symbol of connectedness AND hope when we need it most.
Thank you for considering joining us in helping love others well. Together we can do great things, friends.
