• On the Cover We Love Her

The holiday issue of the Courier Journal’s Her Scene Magazine arrived in our mailbox last week, and we were ecstatic to see our jewelry on the cover! (In a great photo by Matt Stone.)

The issue is full of fantastic style tips, gift suggestions, party and entertaining ideas, and beautiful photographs of the latest fashions from some of Louisville’s great shopping spots. Of course, we’re biased and loved the “Mad Men” spread that included a few Elva Fields baubles, but the entire magazine is a must-have for the season. Pick yours up online or at local Borders bookshops, Carmichael’s Bookstore, or the Paradies shop at Louisville International Airport.

  • Jac in the Box

As we write, a box of goodies from Elva Fields is on its way down south to make its debut in Atlanta, Georgia! Jac, self-described as a “general store for people that like to look good, live well, and give great gifts,” is in the Inman Park neighborhood of Atlanta (just east of downtown) and carries the cutest, most fun, stylish items for men, women, babies, friends, and family! A variety of Elva necklaces and June earrings can soon be added to Jac’s assortment list just in time for holiday shopping… Enjoy!

  • A Sweet Shout-Out

We have been super-fans of Daily Candy since our days in Manhattan when we consulted their online guides for every facet of life in New York—from great new restaurants on the Lower East Side to fun new shoes at Barney’s, Daily Candy had the inside scoop.

You can imagine our excitement, then, to be on the other side of the guide with Daily Candy! Today’s Go Green or Go Home/Let’s Be Ecological gift guide included Elva Fields in its listing of fun, earth-friendly goods, and since it’s available online, you don’t have to live in a major city to enjoy the jewels (or any of the other fabulous eco-gifts they covered in today’s list!) Now that’s sweet.

  • Oh Joy!

We’re among the thousands that head to Oh Joy! each day to see what visual loveliness has been collected and featured on the fabulous blog by designer extraordinaire Joy Deangdeelert Cho.

Literally, we love every single thing she posts…and we love her own designs just as much. And we love that she liked our jewelry enough to feature it last week. An enormous thank you to Joy for such a fun surprise that led us to our new favorite thing—we only wish she weren’t so in-demand so she’d have time to post fabulousness all the day long.

So, if you must leave Elva Fields.com, head on over to Oh Joy!. You’ll join the thousands, too. But come on back for a visit with us soon—we’re updating the site all week.

  • The Old West

Collier West is definitely our favorite shop in Columbus, Ohio—stocked with an incredibly well-edited collection of home accessories, lighting, textiles, furniture, gifts, and jewelry that is laid out so beautifully you could spend all day in their Short North spot.

Their latest photo shoot with neighboring businesses in the gallery-hop district is a true testament to their sharp eye for style—we not only love the antique hand-painted chair in the shot, but we adore how beautiful our necklace looks perched atop it!

We’re currently planning a trunk show for early December at Collier West, so stay tuned for details and hope to see you there! (And—trust us—you’ll want to move in once you see their gorgeous goods.)
