• The Show Must Go On

The 73rd Annual Junior League Horse Show is this week (July 6th through the 11th) at the Red Mile in Lexington…a wonderful event not to be missed, as it is the first leg of the American Saddlebred Triple Crown and the world’s largest outdoor Saddlebred show.

To accompany the horses, riders, and fanfare, Carl Meyers is hosting one of his celebrated, stylish trunk shows at his brand new digs at 111 Clay Avenue. Elva Fields Jewelry will be showcased amongst the hand-selected designer fashions, with new, yet-unseen necklaces and earrings from our Summer Collection, as well as a few pieces from our upcoming Fall Collection to be officially unveiled later next month.

Be among those in-the-know and stop by Carl’s new shop for a taste of the fine and fashionable…Elva Fields Jewelry will be on hand through the weekend.

  • Sixteen Candles

Our beloved Clodhoppers is celebrating its sixteenth birthday next Thursday, June 25th, with a party at the store that evening…complete with hors d’oeuvres by Crave, libations from Brown-Forman, and goodie bags of schwag from some of their favorite labels.

Elva Fields will be giving away three pair of specially-designed, limited-edition “Sweet Sixteen” earrings to three lucky winners at the shin-dig, so come on out to wish Clodhoppers a happy 16th and score some fun jewels. Hope to see you there!

  • We're With the Band

This afternoon, we’re headed to Danville, Kentucky (our hometown!) for the 20th Annual Great American Brass Band Festival. Besides being the biggest event ever in this small, incredibly charming town, it is fabulously fun—filled with great music, good food, happy reunions (after all, it is that kind of small town where you run into EVERYONE and their mama), and local art. This evening’s Gallery Hop is one of the official kick-starts to the celebration, and we’ll be showing the Elva Fields goods at our favorite hang-out in town—Junior’s General Store.

Junior’s is not only where “life is pretty” but where it’s at…the owners keep the store stocked with the most stylish of gifts for home, life, and body, and, after seeing their fantastic eye for interior design, you might just want to move in…and maybe change your outfit, too. The Palm Beach preppy look extends to the Bluegrass with their selection of Lily Pulitzer designs for adults and kiddos…and, well, if you need just the right accessory, we know where you can find that, too.

Elva Fields Jewelry is always on hand at Junior’s, and tonight we’ll have an assortment from the summer collection for Gallery Hoppers to peruse and purchase. We can’t wait! Hope to see y’all there (and tell your mama hey!)

  • Horse Show Shopping

With Kentucky’s new(ish) motto of “Unbridled Spirit,” we clearly take our love of horses seriously, and at this weekend’s Rock Creek Horse Show in Louisville, you’ll see a crowd of people who feel the same way. Beautiful horses, excellent showmanship, and fantastic shopping are all part of the classic event, and we’re happy to be a part of it all.

Elva Fields Jewelry is partnering with the Carl Meyers Co-Op tonight and Saturday night at the historic Rock Creek Riding Club and showcasing some of our summer collection designs with beautiful fashions for men and women from Sparrow and Carl Meyers of Lexington.

Up for some cotton candy, a bit of what makes Kentucky great, and a few fun jewels? Head over to Seneca Park for the 72nd Annual Rock Creek Horse Show, each weekend night starting at 7:00 p.m. It’s a tradition you’ll want to enjoy!

  • Hop on the 'Bus

Since we have family in Columbus, Ohio (affectionately called “The ‘Bus”) we’ve been looking to find a store for Elva Fields in the area…and, after an afternoon of shopping last summer, we stumbled upon a fabulous boutique. You know, one of those stores that has everything you would carry if you were lucky enough to have a cute shop in a fun, happenin’ part of town?

Collier West in the Short North Arts District of Columbus is just that kind of place—filled with vintage-inspired home accessories that are rooted in the past, but perfect for the present. And, even better, they feature fabulous jewelry! We are really looking forward to having some jewels included in this month’s celebrated Short North Gallery Hop, which is this Saturday, June 6th. The jewelry will remain on hand through the month of June, so stop in if you can—we hope to count some Buckeyes among our newest fans!

And check out Collier West’s website. We’re betting you’ll fall as hard as we did.
