We stumbled upon this beautifully-detailed pendant at a flea market this fall, first noticing the wonderful equestrian imagery, and then realizing (with joy) that our hometown city of Louisville is mentioned in the design. Created for the VFW's 21st Encampment in 1934 by Newark, New Jersey firm Whitehead and Hoag, the souvenir fob would have originally hung from a leather strap. We added a simple 14 karat gold filled chain to complete the heirloom Kentucky look, and a lobster claw clasp fastens at back. Measures 32" in length.
