Ever So Sweetly
Elva Fields
We could make references to lemon meringue pie or even Pollyanna with this one - between color and giant bow, there is so much sweetness to enjoy in this gem, but even if you're a gal who knows she's maybe not "sweet" enough in style to wear pastels and bows (we feel that way about our own practical, occasionally salty attitude and style so much, we don't even think we can wear "sweet" brands like Lily Pulitzer and haven't since age 5) we think this one might change your mind. It did ours.
The lemon quartz beads might be named for the fruit, but we love that they're a little more butter yellow than lemon...and the matte finish gives them an interesting look that offers a foil to the sparkling vintage rhinestone bow brooch at the side. Sure, it's a bow, but it's an oversized vintage bow brooch and - get this - the tails of it are fashioned with an upper section of rhinestone links so they move as they suspend. Also, because of their vintage age, the rhinestones have a more sophisticated sparkle than a more modern glittery counterpart might. A vintage rhinestone clasp is at back, allowing lengths ranging from 18 to 19.5" overall, and a yellow opal briolette finishes the look at the end of the chain clasp. Ever so sweetly, this gem is a go for all gals.
