Our love for the Younger Woman's Club of Louisville has been pronounced on more than one occasion, but we were so happy to see the latest edition of the Voice Tribune give props to our group's charitable efforts in a recent article.  YWC members have a deep passion for making a positive difference in our community, and through our fundraising and volunteer efforts since 1920, hope to have brought great changes to the greater Louisville area.  We really enjoyed having the photographer in the studio and sharing a bit about the Club and our jewels with Angie Fenton, who'll be talking up the fantastic fashions at Fall Into Fabulous next week!

We love seeing hard work rewarded, and our friend and customer Tara Wilson enjoyed some much-deserved recognition with a special entertaining segment on the Today Show last week!  

She has a fantastically successful and fun company called Tara Wilson Events based in Texas, and she plans everything from corporate soirees to weddings and dinner parties. (Once we have a free weekend, we'll certainly tap her talent and skills for a fun backyard barbecue in the countryside...or even some fresh ideas for a certain toddler's upcoming birthday...) 

In the meantime, we can all see her tips on throwing an end-of-summer bash (and the Elva Fields necklace she sported on set!) here...congrats to Tara and a job well done!

 

Yes, Kentucky has a sophisticated side (first-time visitors to our neck of the woods are often surprised by this!) and we love the coverage of Louisville and Lexington's finest in Sophisticated Living magazine.  Nothing is more beautifully Bluegrass than our equestrian industry, and the September-October issue of SL shows Kentucky fashion in just the right horse-country setting...and just in time for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Lexington starting in a few weeks.  

Check out the gorgeous landscapes (and the beautiful jewels, if we do say so ourselves) in the fashion spreads shot in the beautiful Kentucky countryside...all of the best the Bluegrass has to offer.  (Not forgetting, of course, to add in some bourbon and a bit of banjo for authentic Kentucky ambiance!)

And we love the idea of playing up the zesty hue of this gorgeous cashmere sweater from J. Crew with a snazzy, elegant, and playful necklace featuring rhinestone bling and vintage mustard and eggplant beads from Africa.

Oh, how we love this beautifully simple top from Tory Burch...the scalloped hem is reflected subtly in the vintage filigree and rhinestone brooch pendant...not to mention the cream with coral knock-'em-dead combo.

     

       

We'd even play up the pink in this plaid blouse from Marc Jacobs with a set of vintage enamel flowers on matte black strands...

Or for a more cocktail look, the subtle shimmer in a metallic-skirted Grecian dress from J. Crew is fabulous with the iridescence of a vintage faux pearl and rhinestone brooch at the side of serpentine strands. 

                   

Hit on more than one of our favorite fall trends with an interesting pattern combination and the inclusion of some animal-inspired prints.  Deceptively simple and stylish in a leopard top from See by Chloe and a quartet of autumn leaves.
