A few things I'm loving lately:
1. Our latest playlist on Spotify is inspired by the songs of our summer - old and new, here and there, bits and bobs from the last few months.
2. Though I don't feel the olfactory struggle of a teen boy mom with the sports scents from bags and shoes, as a mom of sporty gals, I still have my fair share of not-pleasing car smell moments, and this little wonder clipped onto an air vent does the trick. It's a favorite candle scent now for the car, and kind of elevates the carpool shuffle.
3. Not groundbreaking culinary news at this point, but I really do find myself wanting to put this on everything (eggs, avocado toast, rice bowls, noodles...the list goes on) and it's the hint of garlicky, oily, salty spice that just makes a dish delightful for me.
4. I'm dumbfounded that this is Claire Lombardo's debut novel - her writing (and character-capturing) is beyond brilliant, and her ability to allow the reader to feel as though they're occasionally sharing a sofa with the four sisters and their parents in this book is utterly remarkable. A gem of a story about a year in the life (and all the twists and tales that came before it) of the Sorenson family.
5. When my favorite (and only) sandals turned on me one week into a 3-week vacation (long story: a very un-fun allergic reaction,) I spotted these Danish-designed gems in a local shop and fell in love. Super comfortable (walked all day for days in a row) and effortlessly stylish, they're quickly becoming my new favorite sandals.
