The carved decoration of these bone beads from Kenya seemed to suggest the heartfelt X's and O's of the season...or tic-tac-toe, perhaps, and we couldn't help but to pair them with an antique heart horse brass.  The golden brass pendant likely hails from England, and may have originally been threaded through a horse's bridle for protective purposes (like an amulet) or for ceremonial presentation (in a traditional parade.) No matter its original purpose, we find the suggestion of love at front center one to remember. A hammered toggle from Thailand completes the look at back, the necklace measuring a flattering 23" in length.
