The Right Now Matters

Elva Fields

This winged wonder is definitely living in the moment, knowing that the right now matters more than anything that happened in the past or whatever may come to pass down the road. The largest we've ever seen on our vintage adventures, this beautifully-crafted butterfly was made in Mexico entirely by hand of painstaking, intricately-woven silver wire filigree, its lace-like wings outstretched. Want to wear this hopeful, present beauty elsewhere? Easy - the butterfly brooch is detachable from the necklace's strands, allowing it to be enjoyed on a jacket lapel, the shoulder of a sweater, or anywhere the loving reminder of presence might be welcomed - and allowing the necklace's beads to stand on their own for a simpler style. The nine elegant strands of the necklace are pale purple - essentially a rich lavender - glass cylinders that capture light with a gorgeous glimmer. A tiny sparkling silver bead from India appears between each glass one, creating a graceful and statement-making drape with or without the butterfly at their side. An etched sterling silver over copper toggle clasps at back, continuing the subtle shimmer of silver for a lovely look. Necklace measures 18" at shortest strand, while the butterfly has a 3.5" wingspan.
