The gift of seeing possibility in the simplest of circumstances is great, indeed. When we found this vintage brooch-earrings set, we immediately noticed the stunning star-like details in its etched surfaces, studded with faux turquoise and rhinestone. Despite the earrings missing their clip attachments, we knew we could find a way to create something wonderful with them, and we quickly determined we'd hand-wire them to the strands they adorn, giving new life to previously-overlooked jewels. Paired with strands of faceted reconstructed turquoise, the look is both lovely and light-hearted. Measuring 18" in overall length, a gold vermeil clasp at back shows a turquoise jewel, another hint at the subtle beauty offered in unexpected arrangements.
