We often have to have that little (not-so-fun) chat with ourselves about the distinction and difference between "needs" and "wants" which inevitably leads to a purchase one way or another. (Oil changes AND ballet flats have both both qualified as "needs" in the past.) While this three-strand bit of lovely might leave you waffling between the two categories, we say just go for it and find the justification in the fact that we have never seen a pair of jeweled pins as fun and fabulous as this one from the 1920s. The colors of the glass gems are cheerfully a la mode (That orange? Are you kidding me? Love!) and against the backdrop of matte orange glass, they pop in the prettiest way. Amidst the cabochon jewels are openwork leaves sprinkled with tiny rhinestones--an altogether need-and-want-worthy design. Sterling silver clasp, approximately 18" long overall.
