Leaves No Doubt / Re~Vintage
Elva Fields
When a long-standing customer contacted me recently about acquiring a portion of her beloved Elva Fields necklace collection, she explained that she was planning to retire to the UK and that life had shifted a bit, meaning she didn't have the same opportunities to wear and enjoy her necklaces as she once had and that downsizing meant they couldn't all come along for the fun.
Though I'm sad not to continue contributing to her wonderful collection, I'm excited for what's ahead for her. Additionally, I was thrilled to have a chance to see some of these designs again after they originally shipped from the studio over the last decade, most between 2015 and 2016. Some of these necklaces arrived back in my new studio in pristine condition with their original tags attached, others have been refreshed with a cleaning, a re-stringing, or an updating of a loose clasp and dull beads, and still others have been entirely reconsidered, swapping out beads or changing the arrangement of the vintage element to reflect a more updated style. They're each now ready for a new adventure and a chance to be worn, enjoyed, and loved.

Originally part of our Spring Collection in 2016, this is a necklace I decided to reconsider a bit upon its second stint in the studio. Moving the vintage filigree brooch with its beautiful green glass gems from front center to the side of the strands of gorgeous green beads, the design seems to flow and drape a bit more fluidly and allows both beads and brooch to enjoy equal attention. Green jade of this size and quality is definitely much harder to find these days, so these beads are incredibly special, and I added small green jadeite beads among them to make the larger gumball-shaped beads fall more comfortably around the neck. A simple brass hook clasps fastens at back, and the necklace measures 19" length, shortest strand.
