A sign of beautiful things to come, this happy harbinger is full of hope...and stunning craftsmanship. Made in Germany in the 1920s using an innovative and painstaking technique involving layers of glass and metallic finishes, this butterfly gem - unused for over 100 years - becomes a lovely silver and black pendant with the addition of a brass loop at back. This style is very limited, as only a few of these gems remain, but suspended from a gold-over-brass ball bead chain, the necklace measures 18" length.
