Bringing together beautiful blooms of all shapes and sizes, I couldn't help but pair a wood compact from Japan, its sweet hand-carved flower on the lid, with vintage hand-painted ceramic beads from Asia when I found them within weeks of one another. The coral red blossoms on the beads are a favorite, happy hue, and against the white ground and green leaves, they are refreshing and resplendent. The blonde wood compact opens to reveal a sweet comb nestled inside, along with a mirror - perfect for a sneaky spot of safekeeping or for touch-ups on the go. A gilt copper toggle clasps this classic style at back, measuring 20.5" in overall length. (Compact measures 3" diameter.)
