Carved bone beads from Kenya show off a whimsical linear pattern in black, creating a vibrant, dynamic backdrop for a pair of vintage golden blooms. The flowers - vintage brooches - each originally appeared in previous Elva Fields necklaces that arrived back in the studio as part of our Re-Vintage program, and we were thrilled to incorporate them in an entirely new design after refreshing them a bit. Both detachable from this necklace, the smaller flower is from a beaded necklace we created in 2008 and the larger blossom featured in a Deb collection design from 2014. We love that these brooches can be worn elsewhere (on a simple sheath dress or blazer lapel, maybe?) and that the beaded strands can be worn on their own without the petaled pretties...or that they can make a statement when worn all together. A gilt copper hook clasps the strands at back and tiny faceted brass beads throughout the bone beads add bits of golden beauty throughout. Measures 18.5" length, shortest strand.
