Subtle Gifts Each Day

We were giddy finding this incredible vintage buckle at auction, a matte-finished glass beauty in the most wonderful shade of deep burgundy with charming hand-painted floral decoration across its moulded surface. The buckle, likely once part of a 1930s or 40s garment, here becomes the clasp for eight strands of beads. Cobalt blue glass beads are made from vintage Czech moulds in the shape of flowers, and a deep burgundy glass flower bead is mixed in at random to the strands to pick up on the happy hues of the buckle. Faceted brass beads from India also appear in the strands, and the color, texture, and vibrancy make this one a stylish statement, whether the buckle is worn at the side of the strands or at the back of the neck for two looks in one. Necklace measures 19.5" length at its shortest strand.
