What a delight to find a stash of these antique glass beads recently, their playful mix of color bringing cheer and lightness to any and every occasion. We knew these antique gems - made in Czechoslovakia in the 1900s and traded throughout Africa - would make the most marvelous setting in seven strands for a pair of dazzling vintage leaf brooches we discovered at auction many months ago. The rhinestone leaves seem to drift and fall at the side of the happy-hued strands, and we're reminded of how much gratitude we have for changing seasons, bearing in mind a comforting phrase of late: "This, too, shall pass." The statement-style necklace (this one is certainly not subtle) is adjustable from 24 to 25.5" in overall length with a silver-over-copper hook-and-chain clasp at back.
