This brilliant bird - a vintage brooch from the 1950s - might just have that same spirit, taking off across beautiful blue skies, sparkling beautifully all the way. Here, the "sky" is three strands of matte-finished pale aqua ocean jasper with the most marvelous natural patterns and hues. Silver beads from India make up the back portion of the necklace, making the strands drape more comfortably around the neck and a bit lighter in weight. The best part? The vintage brooch is detachable from the strands, so for the gal who truly is determined to discover, the bird may be pinned elsewhere, whether to bring some sparkle to a simple sheath or maybe a favorite sweater...or even enjoyed as a hair accessory - the world is its oyster, really. A sterling silver over copper clasp fastens at back, the necklace measuring 18.5" length at its shortest strand. Bird measures 3.5" overall.
