Many and varied elements of beauty may be found in four strands of antique African beads, each with a rich history that adds to the most colorful of lives. Some stone, some glass, some of African origin, others Czech beads arriving in Africa via trade routes and adventures... Showing off an antique black celluloid and glass jeweled buckle (we loved the carved golden floral decoration--divine!) from the turn of the century, the necklace has quite a story to tell. Fastening at back with a gilt copper toggle, the strands measure approximately 19" in overall length.
