We brought these beads back to the studio over a year ago, charmed by their vintage glamour and unique design. Black Lucite lined with golden ribs--we knew we'd need to find a partner-in-crime worthy of their wonderful-ness. How unexpectedly we arrived here; the subtle-yet-stunning details of this vintage frond brooch might have made strands of pearls all the more elegant. Or perhaps brought exceptional beauty to beads of gold, a matte finish echoing the brooch's own. Yet, when we saw these near one another on our design table, something seemed to speak. The contrast of delicate leaves (fern or feather-like, really) against the bold black beads was just right, and the result is resplendent. A simple gilt copper toggle at back brings it all together at 19.5" in length.
